I’ve been meaning to switch up my cat litter, and I’ve heard a lot about Aldi’s options. So, I decided to head over there and see what all the fuss was about. First things first, I grabbed my keys and hopped in my car, making the quick drive to my local Aldi store.
Once I got there, I made a beeline for the pet aisle. You know, that section filled with all sorts of goodies for our furry friends. I started scanning the shelves, and it didn’t take long before I spotted what I was looking for – cat litter! Aldi had a few different types to choose from, which was pretty neat.
I noticed they had their Heart to Tail brand, which seemed to be their own line of pet products. There was a clumping clay litter, which I’ve used before and it works okay. But then I saw they also had a lightweight version. That caught my eye because lugging those heavy bags of litter is no fun.
- Regular Clumping Litter: This one comes in a 20 lb bag. It’s your standard clay litter that clumps up when it gets wet. I picked up the bag and it felt pretty hefty.
- Lightweight Clumping Litter: This one’s also 20 lbs, but the bag felt noticeably lighter. That’s a plus in my book. Less strain on the back when I’m carrying it from the store to my car, and then into my house.

They also had this thing called a “Tidy Cats Breeze Litter System,” which looked interesting. It’s a whole system with special pellets and pads. I didn’t grab that one this time, but I might give it a shot later. It might be helpful!
After some serious consideration, I grabbed a bag of the Heart to Tail Lightweight Clumping Litter. I figured it was worth a try, especially since it was way cheaper than the brand I usually get. I mean, who doesn’t love saving a few bucks, right?
I finished up my shopping, paid for my stuff, and headed home. I was actually kind of excited to test out this new litter. Once I got back, I scooped out the old litter from the box and poured in the Aldi stuff. My cat, being the curious creature she is, immediately hopped in to investigate. So far, so good!
It’s been a couple of days now, and I gotta say, I’m pretty impressed with this Aldi cat litter. It clumps well, controls odor like a champ, and the lightweight thing is a game-changer. Plus, my wallet’s a little happier too. I think I’ve found a new go-to cat litter!
