Okay, so, I’ve been trying out different cat foods for my picky eater, Mittens. She’s a tough one to please, let me tell you. I recently came across this brand, Dr. Marty Nature’s Feast, and figured, why not give it a shot? Here’s how it went down.
First off, I ordered a bag online. It was pretty easy, nothing complicated. They had a bunch of information about the ingredients and stuff, which is cool. I’m always trying to make sure Mittens gets good quality food, you know?
When the package arrived, I was kinda surprised. It was all neatly packed, and the bag itself looked pretty fancy. I opened it up, and the food looked different from the usual kibble. More like little freeze-dried chunks. Mittens sniffed at it, which is always the first test.
- Day 1: I mixed a little bit of the Nature’s Feast with her old food. She picked at it, but mostly ate around the new stuff. Not a great start.
- Day 3: I increased the amount of Nature’s Feast. She ate a little more this time, but still wasn’t thrilled.
- Day 7: Okay, this is where it got interesting. Mittens started actually eating the Nature’s Feast. Like, really eating it. She even left some of her old food behind.
It’s been a few weeks now, and she’s fully transitioned to Dr. Marty Nature’s Feast. Her coat looks shinier, she seems more energetic, and her, uh, “output” is a lot less stinky. That’s a win in my book.
What I liked about it
- Seems like high-quality ingredients. I read that they use some special cooking method to keep the nutrients, or something like that.
- Mittens likes it. That’s the most important thing, right?
- Her overall health seems improved. More energy, better coat, less smelly poop.
What I didn’t like
- It’s kinda pricey. Definitely more expensive than the regular stuff at the store.
- You have to rehydrate it with water, which is an extra step. Not a huge deal, but still.
Overall, I’d say Dr. Marty Nature’s Feast is worth a try, especially if you have a picky cat like mine. It might take some time for them to get used to it, but the results might just surprise you. I’m gonna keep feeding it to Mittens for now and see how it goes long-term.
