Okay, so, the other day I ran out of cat litter, and my apartment started smelling like, well, you know. So I was like, “Alright, gotta figure out where to buy this Skoon stuff I keep hearing about.” It’s supposed to be good, right? Less dust, less stink, all that jazz.

First thing I did, obviously, was hit up Google. I typed in “where to buy skoon cat litter near me” – simple as that. A bunch of pet stores popped up, plus the usual big box retailers like Target and Walmart. I even saw some options on Amazon, but I was kinda in a hurry, didn’t want to wait for shipping.
My next move was to actually call the closest pet stores. I figured that was the quickest way to find out if they had it in stock. The first place I called, the lady on the phone was super nice, but she said they didn’t carry Skoon. Bummer. The second place, though, they were like, “Yeah, we got it! Both the regular and the multi-cat formula.” Score!
Now, here’s where things got a little tricky. I drove over to the pet store, and they DID have Skoon, but it was way more expensive than I thought it would be. I mean, I knew it wasn’t the cheapest litter out there, but damn! I was standing there, staring at this bag of pebbles, trying to decide if I was willing to drop that much cash.
I pulled out my phone again and quickly checked the prices on Amazon and Chewy. Turns out, it was cheaper online, even with shipping. But then I remembered I needed litter RIGHT NOW. So, I sucked it up and bought the dang bag. My nose was counting on it.
Got home, cleaned out the litter box (that’s always a fun job, isn’t it?), and poured in the Skoon. It looks kinda weird, like little rocks. But honestly, it does seem to work pretty well. The smell is definitely better than with my old litter, and there’s way less dust. My cat seems happy enough, too, which is the most important thing.
Here’s the bottom line: Skoon is good stuff, but it can be pricey. If you’re not in a rush, definitely shop around online to find the best deal. But if you need it ASAP, calling your local pet stores is the way to go, even if you end up paying a bit more. And hey, at least your apartment won’t smell like a zoo, right?
- Check online prices first! Amazon, Chewy, even the Skoon website.
- Call your local pet stores. Save yourself a trip if they don’t have it.
- Be prepared for sticker shock. Skoon ain’t cheap.
Anyway, that’s my Skoon cat litter buying adventure. Hope it helps someone else out there!
