Scoop Away 25 lbs: Is This Cat Litter Really Worth It?

Okay, here’s my experience with the Scoop Away Cat Litter, 25 lbs:

Scoop Away 25 lbs: Is This Cat Litter Really Worth It?

So, my cat, Mr. Fluffernutter, is a pooping machine. Seriously, this cat can fill a litter box faster than I can scoop it. I used to dread cleaning his box because, well, it stank, and the cheap litter I was using turned into a concrete-like mess at the bottom. I needed a solution, and that’s when I saw a friend raving about Scoop Away. I figured, why not? I grabbed a 25-pound box.

The First Scoop

First thing I noticed? The box was heavy, but manageable. I dumped the old litter (good riddance!), gave the box a quick clean, and then poured in the Scoop Away. It filled the box nicely, with a good depth for Mr. Fluffernutter to do his business.

The litter itself looked pretty standard – small, grayish granules. Nothing fancy, but hey, it’s cat litter, not a diamond necklace.

The Waiting Game (and the Sniff Test)

  • Day 1: Mr. Fluffernutter used the box. I went in for the scoop, and…wow. It clumped really well! No crumbling, no mess, just a solid, easy-to-scoop clump. And the smell? Barely there! I was impressed.
  • Day 3: Still scooping solid clumps. The litter level was going down, but at a reasonable pace. The odor control was still holding strong. This was a major win.
  • Day 7: I’m still impressed. This is way longer and there is less stink compare with the last litter. I added some fresh litter. The box still looks fresh, and the clumps are still rock-solid.

My conclusion

Honestly, I’m a convert. Scoop Away actually delivers on its promises. My routine now is a very fast scoop in the moning. This litter clumps like a champ, controls odors like a boss, and lasts a decent amount of time.

It’s definitely worth the slightly higher price compared to the bargain-basement stuff I used to buy. Mr. Fluffernutter seems happy, and I’m definitely happy not to be gagging every time I clean his box. That’s a big deal.
